These are four
pictures that I took for my art class. The first one I took to display texture.
The second one is to display space. The third picture of the wrestling mat is
to show symmetry. The last picture displays Rhythm.
In our class we discussed these definitions for the
following terms.
Texture- pertaining to the surface quality. Visual and
actual of the piece.
Space- a 3 dimensional volume, where it is filled with
objects or left empty to help show width, height, and depth.
Symmetry- comes from
balance. This means having an equal distribution to the piece of art.
Rhythm- a picture that has rhythm will show visual movement
repetitively. Many elements can be used like; color, shape, lines, values, and
more.
