This here is another one of my works from our Art Methods class. This picture represents myself looking off into a crazy sky. I am a college student who has a lot ahead, but sometimes things look nuts. This is why the sky appears to be a mess.
In the art lesson we had we learned about paintings like the Starry Night. We talked a lot about those kind of works. When we were given time we were asked to work on something along those lines ourselves. When it comes to the exact classroom directions for this piece I may have missed the boat a little bit. However, this is the idea I wanted to do, it just came up a little short of my goals for the final piece.
An extension activity for this could be studying famous places. One idea I had was to make these more as a landmark scene that may be talked about in History or Reading class.
ReplyDeleteAnother idea I had was poetry. While teaching Haiku in the sixth grade this idea could be used to describe the emotions or the weather in the poems because Haiku is usually about those two things.
