This hideous piece of art is not my best work! However, it was a fun lesson. In this class we studied patterns. I chose to hand draw a centipede (probably not my best idea). The goal was then to use many different types of painting tools and methods to make a masterpiece.

Somehow, my project ended up being clumsy and messy. Today I learned that using some of the materials is not that easy. If I could do this project over again I would have chosen to use fewer tools on my project.You can notice that at some points I did have a pattern go for a little while, but I didn't give myself the best grade. However, my teachers did and I am thankful.

An adequate extension activity for this project would be to use this art to make a Language Arts report. I would now have the students write a creative writing story about their project. I think it would be funner to give younger students a chance to be creative and use imagination in their writing. However, I would use this to practice punctuation and grammar.
